We are currently working on setting up our submission Submittable portal, but in the meantime, this is what you can expect to provide to us.
1. Mission Statement
This is the personal life mission part of the application. Why do you wish to take a residency? While may also supply us with a formal C.V.(optional), please include biographical background and C.V. information as how it contributes to the story of your Mission. Please try to accomplish sharing your motivations in succinct paragraphs. No more than one page please.
2. Process
Tell us more about the specific requirements of your work and process: tools, spaces, materials or other mechnical logistics that will be required
3. Project Statement or Proposal
Tell us what your specific expected physical outcome of your residency time will be. What is your end goal?
4. Samples
- Artist: show 7-10 samples of your work or work in progress
- Writer: show 3 samples of writing work. you may include link to blog or unpublished writer samples
- Musician: show us 5-7 examples of music you have written or performed. It does not have to be professionally recorded, but it should be audibly legible. Please let us know how you specifically participated in the production of each piece.
- Chef: show 5-7 images and recipes of existing creations.
- Therapist/Mover: please tell us about your certifications and/or schooling or workshops attended and how you have practiced to date.
- Farmer/Makers: show 5-7 images or drawings of your gardens, plants, landscapes or other applicable projects
5. Alignment
Your final statement to us will include your innerstanding of the purpose of the Seed of Life and acceptance of our Mission and Way of life. Then please share how your gifts will be used to increase greater knowledge and acceptance of the Way. Minimum of one paragraph and maximum up to one page please.
6. References
Please supply us with the names and contact information for 2-3 people who can vouch for your stability personally.
7. Deadline
We do not have a formal deadline. We accept applications on an ongoing basis and award residencies as they become available.
